NEW MADISON — A 19-year-old has been flown to Miami Valley Hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Darke County, Darke County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
The crash happened near the 300 block of N. Main Street in New Madison around 3:40 p.m.

An initial investigation found that a Ford-F350 pulling a trailer was southbound on North Main Street at the intersection of Fairview Street when it hit a bicycle ridden by Michael Jarrett, 19, of Greenville, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the Jarrett failed to stop at the posted stop sign.
Jarrett was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
