Marshalls planning new store in Sugarcreek Twp.; relocating Centerville location

SUGARCREEK TWP., Greene County — Plans for Marshalls to move into the former Fresh Thyme Market building in Sugarcreek Twp. have been approved, Sugarcreek Twp. Administrator Barry Tiffany said.

The move comes after the storefront become vacant in July 2019 when Fresh Thyme closed the location due to sluggish sales.

Marshalls will join the shopping plaza that currently is also home to Target, Home Depot and PetSmart.

“We anticipate that the new Marshalls store in Centerville will open in March,” a spokeswoman from Marshalls said.

The spokeswoman said this will be a relocation of the existing store at Cross Pointe Shopping Center in Centerville.

“We are always assessing and reviewing our real estate strategies and our decision to relocate this store reflects that thinking,” the Marshalls spokeswoman said.
