Man, 71, killed in weekend crash near Wapakoneta

AUGLAIZE COUNTY — A 71-year-old man died following a single-vehicle crash near Wapakoneta Saturday night, according to the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office.

Trell H. Yocum was pronounced dead after the crash Saturday evening on Canning Factory Road, just south of U.S. 33, the sheriff’s office said in a media release Monday morning.

Yocum was the only occupant in the vehicle, investigators said. Additional details about the crash, including potential factors, were not released.

The crash remains under the investigation by the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office.
