Man killed in tractor accident near New Carlisle identified

PIKE TWP., Clark County — UPDATE @ 11:20 a.m.: 

The victim in Tuesday’s fatal tractor accident has been identified as Terry Duke, of Clark County, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

FIRST REPORT (Sept. 3): 

A Clark County man was killed Tuesday afternoon in a tractor accident.

Crews were called just before 4 p.m. to the 12000 block of Stafford Road north of New Carlisle.

The man, whose name and age were not released, was pulling a stump when the tractor overturned and landed on top of him, according to the New Carlisle Fire Division.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
