Fairborn woman identified as victim of Shiloh Springs Road crash in Trotwood

TROTWOOD — UPDATE @ 5:15 p.m.:

One driver was killed in Trotwood crash after their car crossed the center line and crashed into another car head-on Tuesday morning, according to Trotwood police.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of the crash as Donna Smith, 39, from Fairborn.

The crash happened on Shiloh Springs Road and Twin Wood Drive around 8:30 a.m.

A car traveling east on Shiloh Springs Road crossed the center line and crashed head-on into another car traveling west, a Trotwood police spokesperson confirmed in a phone call with News Center 7′s Mike Campbell.

Investigators said the driver who died in the crash appears to be the at-fault driver. However, police were still investigating the factors that led to the crash, including if either a medical condition, impaired driving, or other factors were to blame.

Two people were severely injured in the crash and were transported to area hospitals, according to a release from police.

Police blocked Shiloh Springs Road between Greencroft Drive and Basore Road for the crash investigation. It reopened just at 11:20 a.m.
