Wilmington man killed in fiery crash in Beavercreek Twp.

BEAVERCREEK TWP., Greene County — A Wilmington man was killed in a crash and car fire on Beaver Valley Road near the Siebenthaler’s Garden Center early Monday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Emergency crews responded to the report of a car fire in the 2000 block of Beaver Valley around 4:45 a.m.

James H. Eyler III, 43, of Wilmington, was driving south on Beaver Valley, when he didn’t make it around a curve, the state patrol said. He drove of the left side of the road, hit a tree and his SUV caught fire.

State troopers closed down the road for about three hours while they investigated the crash.

Eyler died at the scene, state troopers said.
