Kings Island’s Orion claims top spot in national poll

Kings Island’s newest rollercoaster, Orion, was declared this year’s Best New Amusement Park Attraction by USA Today’s 10Best.com reader’s poll.

Readers across the country voted for their favorite new attractions for the past four weeks. After multiple lead changes, Orion ended at the top of the list.

Orion opened at Kings Island in July.

According to USA Today, these were the 10 best new amusement park attractions in 2020:

1. Orion at Kings Island - Mason, Ohio
2. The Bourne Stuntacular at Universal Studios Florida - Orlando
3. Cheetah Chase at Holiday World - Santa Claus, Indiana
4. Candymonium at Hersheypark - Hershey, Pennsylvania
5. Texas Stingray at SeaWorld San Antonio
6. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland - Anaheim, California
7. Mystic River Falls at Silver Dollar City - Branson, Missouri
8. West Coast Racers at Six Flags Magic Mountain - Valencia, California
9. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios - Orlando
10. Catwoman Whip at Six Flags Over Georgia - Austell, Georgia
