Kings Island Camp Cedar set to open in June

A new luxury campground at Kings Island is getting closer to completion.

Camp Cedar, located less than a mile from Kings Island’s front gates, will feature nearly 200 R-V parking spaces and 73 cottages, with 100 more planned.

Resort guests will be able to take advantage of outdoor entertainment including recreational and adult exclusive pools, ponds, a walking trail and “unique” dining options.

“We are thrilled to welcome what will be a very special destination outdoor resort, which will greatly enhance and complement Ohio’s largest playground,” said Phillip S. Smith, president and chief executive officer, Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The $27 million project is scheduled to open June 14, and Kings Island officials estimate it will attract 200,000 guests each year.

Camp Cedar is already accepting reservations for its 2021 season at visitcampcedar.com.

Price varies whether you’re going to be in a cottage or an RV.
