July 4th celebrations underway around the Miami Valley

MIAMI VALLEY — Two parades have already taken place this Independence Day marking the beginning of many celebrations that will occur throughout the holiday weekend.

The Huber Heights and Troy communities both held a parade this morning.

Troy’s parade began at 9 a.m. on Staunton Road and ended on Monroe Street.

Huber Height’s parade was at 10 a.m. and began on Brandt Pike ending on Chambersburg Road.

Evening festivities with food truck vendors and fireworks are planned in both Troy and Huber Heights.

In Tipp City a Fourth of July celebration with food trucks is being held in Kyle Park beginning at 7 p.m. Fireworks are to follow at 10 p.m.

A number of other communities will be enjoying holiday celebrations as well throughout the day and evening.
