‘It has been the experience of a lifetime;’ Long-time Oakwood restaurant sold after 60 years

OAKWOOD — A long-time Dayton-area restaurant has a new owner.

The Oakwood Club, located at 2414 Far Hills Ave, was sold by the Stewart family after owning it for 60 years, according to a social media post from the restaurant.

“I want to thank our customers, co-workers and vendors for all the tears, joys and memories we have shared over the last 60 years. It has been the experience of a lifetime,” Lance Stewart, the restaurant’s former owner, said in the post.

A statement from the Oakwood Club’s general manager, John Minoughan, said the restaurant was purchased by the restaurant management group the One Esca Group.

He said while the ownership has changed, everything else will stay the same.

The restaurant group also owns Spaghetti Warehouse and Corner Kitchen in Dayton.
