IRS launches app to check status of 2nd stimulus payment

WASHINGTON D.C. — As some in the Miami Valley continue to wait for their second stimulus payment from the IRS, the agency has launched a tool to see where your payment may be.

The IRS launched the “Get My Payment” app, which allows you to enter information to see what the status of your payment is.

Those trying to access the app may experience long wait times due to high traffic on the IRS’s website.

Users will be prompted with a series of questions used to verify identity.

The quick math, families can expect direct payments of $600 for each adult and $600 for each child up to $2,400.
