More than 100 people spent Sunday looking for him, including Dayton Police officers, Dayton Firefighters, Five Rivers MetroParks, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

They called off the search just around 8 p.m. and will resume Monday morning, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

Robertson said emergency crews kept her and her photographer at a distance Sunday while they worked and saw them searching both land and on the water.

She also spoke with Brandye Russell, her friend knows the family. She came to Eastwood MetroPark to look for Lucas.

“No, we did come across a little footprint, feet, but nothing,” she said. “I think it was other people searching because there’s a lot of people out here. Other than that, no, we haven’t seen anybody.
