Honor fallen firefighters this week during National Light the Night

This week is National Light the Night for fallen firefighters.

This national week also coincides with the deaths of two firefighters from New Bremen-German Township Fire Department.

John Garman and Kenneth Jutte were killed 16 years ago on Oct. 1, 2003, in a sawdust explosion in a silo at a lumber yard fire in New Knoxville that also injured seven other firefighters.

Fire departments nationwide are using red lights this week to honor America’s fallen firefighters.
