Crocs and its employees use this event to donate to the Foodbank of Dayton while offering residents a chance to receive a discount on a pair of their iconic shoes as well as learn about the benefits of working for the company.

The Foodbank of Dayton received a $48,000 check from Crocs with 100% of the donations collected from employees through a recent shoe sample sale, the release said.

“Every year we have this special event where we do an employee sale for friends and family,” Julie Fox, Director of Fulfillment Planning- Crocs Distribution Center said. “And the money that we raised from that we donate to the Dayton Foodbank. So, the players get very excited about it because we get to give back to the community and they get a really good deal on shoes.”

The event took place today from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Residents were also able to donate $5 or five cans of food to receive a 50% discount code by email to purchase shoes at Crocs.com, the release said.

“This donation alone will provide over 240,000 meals for folks in need,” Dayton Foodbank Chief Development Officer, Lee Alder said. “You know, hunger and food insecurity never stops. Our community is very familiar with the need because of the covid 19 pandemic and of course, the memorial day tornadoes.”
