Gusty winds, strong storms blamed for power outages, damage

CENTERVILLE — Strong thunderstorms and winds moved through the Miami Valley early Saturday morning, leading to numerous power outages and some damage in parts of the region.

Strong winds are being blamed for a tree that came crashing down in Centerville.

The tree was on the property of a home in the 300 block of Silvertree Lane near Blackstone Drive.

Our News Center 7 crew on the scene said the tree fell away from the house in the yard and partially blocked the road.
