The waiting areas at Dayton International Airport remained packed all day with frustrated travelers.

“We were very excited to be without children for a while, this was not part of the plan,” Kim Humberd of Pennsylvania said.

Humberd and her husband Luke were trying to stay calm. It helped that they were able to make some alternative arrangements with United Airlines.

“Got seats, did everything they could, it’s a great experience with them, despite being delayed,” Luke said.

Chicago’s airports aren’t the only airports experiencing issues due to weather. Departures to Austin-Bergstrom International in Texas have been grounded due to weather, according to the FAA.
