Gov. DeWine describes the late Annie Glenn as ‘our most most beloved Ohioan’

OHIO — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine described Annie Glenn as our most beloved Ohioan and ordered U.S. and Ohio flags to be flown at half-staff in her memory Tuesday.

“This is a very sad day for all Ohioans,” he said.

“Annie Glenn was certainly our most most beloved Ohioan. She represented all that is good about our country.”

DeWine called John Glenn and Annie Glen’s life-long love story an inspiration to all, stating that it is impossible to imagine John Glenn without Annie and Annie without John.

“Fran and I were saddened to learn of the death of Annie Glenn.” he said.

“She was always kind and gracious to us whenever we saw her.”
