Dayton gas prices are up

Gas prices have gone up in Southwest Ohio and the Miami Valley.

Average retail gasoline prices in Dayton have risen 14.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.43 per gallon yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 391 gas outlets in Dayton.

This compares with the national average that has increased 2.7 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.28 a gallon, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

According to GasBuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of gas in Dayton is $2.44 per gallon, with prices stable. The cheapest gas, as of this morning, is $2.31 at the United Dairy Farmers on Harshman Road and Brandt Pike.

In Hamilton, the cheapest gas is $2.35 at Five Points Market on Grand Boulevard near Tylersville Road.

In Springfield, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.43, with prices stable. The cheapest gas is $2.24 at multiple locations.
