Gas line work to close lanes, possibly roads in Fairborn

FAIRBORN — Construction may obstruct or close roads in Fairborn as Vectren and contracted companies work to replace natural gas lines.

According to Fairborn Communications Manager Meghan Howard, Miller Pipeline will be doing work on gas lines on Hebble Avenue between Maple Avenue and Central Avenue.

There is also gas line work on Xenia Drive and Maple Avenue between Pearl Street and Erie Avenue.

Howard said that the plan was to keep the road open with lane closures when necessary, but roads may be closed if necessary.

We have been told that work on the roads could last into next week.

This gas line maintenance is part of a larger effort by Vectren to replace older gas lines. The company has asked that drivers slow down and be alert in the area of any construction.
