DAYTON — Firefighters responded to a basement fire in Dayton on Saturday.

Around 1:14 p.m., firefighters responded to the 2030 block of Elsmere Avenue on reports of a structure fire, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Sergeant.

District Fire Chief Andrew Wiley, of the Dayton Fire Department, told News Center 7 that AES Ohio was restoring power after Friday’s storms when the fire started in the home’s basement.
Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
