Fire damages 4 apartment units in Bellbrook; No injuries reported

BELLBROOK — UPDATE: 3:25 p.m.

Firefighters were called to battle a fire at the Mill Pond apartments in Bellbrook Monday afternoon.

Crews were called to an apartment unit at the complex near the intersection of Wilmington Pike and state Route 725 around 1:40 p.m. Monday.

According to fire crews on scene, the fire reportedly started on a balcony and spread to four other units.

Families living in the four units of the apartment complex have been displaced, according to crews on scene.

No injuries have been reported from any of the occupants or firefighters.

Firefighters are battling a fire at the Mill Pond apartments in Bellbrook Monday afternoon, according to initial reports.

Crews were called to an apartment unit at the complex near the intersection of Wilmington Pike and state Route 725 around 1:40 p.m. Monday.

Firefighters reported heavy smoke was coming from the structure, initial reports indicate. Crews from multiple surrounding departments including Washington Twp. and Kettering have been requested to help battle the flames.

It was not known if any injuries have been reported. Firefighters were first notified of at least one person possibly trapped inside the structure.
