Troy residence sustains heavy damage after fire

TROY — UPDATE @ 7:40 P.M.:

According to Troy Fire Department Lieutenant Aaron Simmons, the residence on the corner of Lake Street and Wayne Street in Troy sustained heavy damage.

Both floors of the residence were damaged in the fire.

Simmons said all occupants were able to evacuate the house.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

INITIAL REPORT:

Firefighters are working to extinguish a house fire on the corner of Lake Street and Wayne Street in Troy.

Initial emergency scanner traffic reported the fire around 6:00 p.m. and reported flames to be showing from the house.
