The Ohio Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office joined FBI and DEA agents at the facility, 1010 Woodman Drive, beginning around 9:30 a.m.

The facility is listed as Dayton Outpatient Center and offers pain management solutions, according to the facility’s website. The records removed and loaded into vans may be from the pharmacy and pain management clinic, but agents would not confirm the focus of its investigation.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office is the lead investigator in the case, according to a spokeswoman from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

Jannele Sark of Dayton was referred to this facility but was unable to go inside for what would have been her first appointment.

“I may have to find another doctor and go from there,” she said.

The business’ website lists Dr. Suresh Gupta as one of the medical providers. Dayton defense lawyer Dennis Lieberman said he represents Gupta but declined to comment as he drove out of the parking lot.

Montgomery County Court records show that in his 21-year medical career in Ohio, Gupta has faced five medical malpractice claims, two personal injury cases, multiple business lawsuits and gross sexual imposition charges, of which he was acquitted.

One former patient said she’s happy about the raid. She said she was dropped as a Dayton Outpatient Center client after testing positive for opiates, which she said were prescribed by Gupta.

“He can push whatever pill he wants on them and they’ll take it, I think it’s great,” Tiffany Newman said.

The state and federal investigators wrapped up their work around 5 p.m. They would not disclose whether they plan to return Friday, or whether the business will reopen.

No arrests were made and no charges are currently being considered.
