MIAMI VALLEY — The Mall at Fairfield Commons and Dayton Mall have announced its plans to reopen when the Stay Safe Ohio Order permits retail businesses to reopen.

Both malls said they plan to open on May 12.

“Planned reopening dates for individual tenants may vary, so guests are encouraged to call ahead,” The Mall at Fairfield Commons announced.

The malls have implemented additions to the codes of conduct for the facilities to include:

  • Practicing social distancing and staying at least 6 feet from others
  • Covering mouth and nose with face covering is recommended
  • Adhere to each individual tenant’s COVID-19 policy
  • Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations, recommendations and mandates regarding COVID-19

Alcohol-based hand sanitizer dispensers will be located in high-traffic areas and walkways for public use.

“We are inspired by the resilience of our community and look forward to safely welcoming back our guests, said Leanne Rubosky, General Manager at The Mall at Fairfield Commons. “We will continue to work with local, state and federal agencies to do all we can in order to contribute to the containment, treatment and prevention of COVID-19.”

The malls will also continue disinfecting and cleaning practices many times per day.
