UPDATE: Endangered Missing Adult Alert canceled for 88-year-old Miami Co. man

Miami County — UPDATE: 2:55 p.m.

The Endangered Missing Adult Alert has been canceled.

INITIAL REPORT:

A statewide Endangered Missing Adult Alert has been issued by the Miami County Communications Center for an 88-year-old man.

Joe Newnam drove away from a restaurant on Weller Drive in Tipp City at 8:11 p.m. Thursday and has failed to return home, according to authorities.

Newnam is described to be 5′9″ tall, weighs 200 lbs., and has gray hair and green eyes.

Newnam suffers from dementia, and police are concerned for his safety.

The vehicle involved is a red 2009 Chevrolet Impala with OH plate number JN01.

Anyone who sees Newnam or the vehicle involved is asked to call 911.
