Edison President Darlene Larson spoke briefly to the county commissioners on Feb. 7 about a letter she’d submitted seeking $50,000 in two installments in 2019 and 2020 to help pay for equipping a multi-use lab at what Larson described as a “hub of healthcare career education.” The campus is scheduled to open in August.

“This lab will serve not only students in the healthcare pathway, but also any student needing coursework in biology and chemistry, including college credit plus enrollee,” Larson said in the letter.

The commissioners did not respond to the request during their Thursday meeting.
