Driver taken to hospital after crashing into Harrison Twp. home

HARRISON TWP. — One person was taken to the hospital after crashing into a home in Harrison Township Wednesday evening.

Deputies were called to respond to the 4200 block of Merrimac Avenue around 6 p.m. in reference to a vehicle that had crashed into a house, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Preliminary investigation showed a Blue SUV was going north bound on Merrimac Ave. when it left the roadway, traveled through a yard and came to a rest into the front of a house, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver had to be removed from the vehicle by medics and was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The crash is still under investigation at this time.
