A driver who couldn’t stop her car turned into a CVS parking lot today, slamming into the building rather than striking a line of cars stopped at a traffic light.
The motorist was traveling west on East Central Avenue around noon when her brakes failed as she approached the North 12th Street intersection, Miamisburg police said.
The woman quickly turned into the CVS at 1205 E. Central Ave., but still couldn’t stop before she struck the store’s brick exterior wall.
The impact created hole in the brickwork approximately 3 feet wide and a few shelves inside the store were pushed away from the wall. However, the building sustained no structural damage, Miamisburg fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
