Dozens picket outside Coca-Cola facility in Huber Heights; negotiations ongoing soda supplier says

HUBER HEIGHTS — Dozens of people picketed outside the Coca-Cola plant in Huber Heights today saying they were on strike for “unfair labor practice,” according to signs being held by the picketers.

The group from Teamsters Local 957 were out overnight and this morning at the plant at 1000 Coca-Cola Blvd.

A spokesperson for Coca-Cola said some of the workers returned to work, but that negotiations were still ongoing with the union.

Messages left with representatives from Teamsters Local 957 have not been returned.

Coca-Cola said the company has prepared for situations like this.

“We care deeply about our teammates, and we will continue to conduct negotiations in accordance with Our Purpose and Our Values as we strive to do what is best for our teammates, their families, our customers, and our business,” a spokesperson for Coca-Cola said in a statement. “We are committed to serving our customers, and have prepared for these circumstances to allow as little disruption as possible.”
