WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — If you’re looking for a healthy way to kick off the new year, discounted registrations for the 26th Air Force Marathon open on New Years Day.
After being virtual for two years due to COVID-19 concerns, the Air Force Marathon will return to an in-person event and is scheduled for Sept 17, 2022.
Registration starts at 12 a.m., Jan 1. Runners can have a discount of up to $20 dollars if registered by Jan 3.
Military member of all branches, including: Active Duty, Guard members, ROTC cadets, reserve and retirees can receive an additional $10 dollars off when they register, a AF Marathon spokesperson said in a media release Thursday.

Here are the prices for registration:
- Marathon: Jan 1- Jan 3, $80. Jan 4- Mar 6 ,$90.
- Half Marathon: Jan 1-Jan 3, $70. Jan 4- Mar $80
- 10k: Jan 1-Jan3,$40. Jan 4-March 6, $45.
- 5k: Jan 1- Jan 3,$25. Jan 4-Mar 6, $30.
- Tailwind Trot 1k Kids’ Run: Jan1-Jan 3,$12. Jan 4-Mar 6,$15.

- 5k, 10k, and Marathon: Jan 1- Jan 3 $135. Jan 4-Mar 6 $155.
- 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon: Jan 1- Jan 3rd, $125. Jan 4-Mar 6, $145.
- Marathon Relay (3-Person Team): Jan1- Jan 3 $160. Jan 4-Mar 6 $180.
