Body found at Cox Arboretum MetroPark

MIAMI TOWNSHIP — UPDATE: 12:50 p.m.

A death investigation was launched after a body was found at Cox Arboretum MetroPark Monday morning.

Montgomery County Regional dispatch confirmed police responded after a body was found at the park in the 6700 block of North Springboro Pike.

Staff at the park found a man’s body in the woods near the blue trail as they started working this morning, according to Five Rivers MetroParks Chief of Public Safety Mark Hess.

Hess said there were no signs of foul play and the death is being investigated as a suicide.

The man is not from the Dayton area but had been in the area recently, Hess said.
