Dayton Post of OSHP name trooper and dispatcher of year

DAYTON — The Dayton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has named the Trooper and Dispatcher of the Year for 2022.

Trooper Andrew Pudenz and Dispatcher Monica Huffman were each named in recognition of their services this year, a spokesperson for the Ohio State Highway Patrol said Thursday.

Trooper Pudenz, 27, joined OSHP in 2017 and has served at the Piqua and Dayton posts throughout his career.

Dispatcher Huffman, 34, has been with OSHP since 2015.

Both are from the Miami Valley.

Trooper Pudenz is a 2013 graduate of Tri-County North High School and lives in New Madison. Dispatcher Huffman is from Huber Heights and currently lives with her family in Tipp City.

Pudenz is in contention for the District and State Trooper of the Year Award while Huffman is up for the District and State Dispatcher of the Year, OSHP said.

Both awards will be announced at a later date.
