Dayton police seek vehicle involved in fatal hit-and-run crash; Can you help?

DAYTON — Dayton police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened Tuesday night.

At approximately 9:40 p.m. a male was struck in the alley behind 1939 North Main Street, according to a spokesperson for the police department. The alley runs east and west between Marathon Avenue, Richmond Avenue in Santa Clara Avenue.

The victim has died from his injuries, the spokesperson said.

Police are looking for a possible white in color 2008 to 2010 Dodge Caravan or Chrysler Town and Country.

According to the spokesperson, the vehicle could possibly be missing a piece of its right lower rocker bar paneling that is located directly behind the front passenger wheel and in front of the passenger door. The missing piece measures about 7″x 5″.
