Dayton man who lost nearly 200 pounds to ride roller coasters featured on Access Hollywood

DAYTON — Dayton resident Jared Ream, who went viral for losing nearly 200 pounds to ride roller coasters earlier this year, appeared on Access Hollywood Wednesday morning.

Ream was featured by Kings Island after he rode the new roller coaster Orion after the amusement park delayed its opening due to coronavirus.

The Dayton man weighed 430 pounds when he started his quest to lose weight and is now down to 235 pounds.

“I knew kind of what my daily calorie limit should be based on my height and weight at the time in order to lose. And then I started exercising from that point on,” Ream told Access Hollywood. “So, a combination of all of those things is how I, over the course of ten months, is how I ended up losing 190 pounds.”

Access Hollywood airs at 2:30 a.m. weekdays on WHIO-TV Channel 7.
