The event was originally supposed to be outside, but it was moved inside due to weather.

Major Gayle Senak, administrator at the Dayton Kroc Center, told News Center 7 that the event is meant to provide a fun and safe place for children and families to come celebrate Halloween.

“There are not a lot of these types of things for families to experience, so we’re just thankful that they’re able to be here,” Senak said.

Children were able to visit booths from different sponsors, like the Dayton Police Department and Miami University. To be a sponsor, each organization had to bring candy to distribute.

Senak said they have had a good turnout so far and have had several families thank them for providing the event.
