DAYTON — Police were called to the Holy Family Catholic Church on South Findlay Street twice this weekend on reports of vandalism.
Stained glass windows damaged at Dayton church
Surveillance footage on Saturday showed one male suspect armed with a silver Easton baseball bat, breaking a window. After causing the damage the suspect fled the scene to a nearby alley. The damage occurred around 8:43 p.m. according to the police report
Report: Windows damaged again at Dayton church
Police were then dispatched again to the church on Sunday for an additional damage report. Windows were reportedly broken and a statue was damaged. This incident is believed to have occurred around 5 p.m.
Authorities are unsure if the suspect committed both crimes. If you have any information on the suspect of these crimes you are asked to call Dayton Police at 937-333-2677.
