Butler Twp. business owner retires after 50 years of service

BUTLER TWP. — Family, friends and former customers united today to celebrate Jack Brunk Sr., a local business owners who retired after 50 years of working in Butler Twp.

Brunk owned and operated Brunk’s Meat Shop for over 50 years, according to a Facebook post.

Today the community celebrated Brunk’s retirement for his years of service with a retirement party.

Brunk told News Center 7 that he looks forward to having free time to spend on things he enjoys, such as fishing and his coin collection. Brunk said he also plans to travel.

As for his business, Brunk said his son has taken over for him.

“I’m sure he’ll do a great job with it,” Brunk said.

When asked about his secret to staying in business for so long, Brunk said providing good product and service, along with the good people of Butler Twp. was essential.

“If you do everything right, things turn out right for you,” Brunk said.
