DAYTON — An art exhibition in Dayton will showcase work by artists statewide with developmental disabilities.
“Art & Soul”, featuring 45 pieces, will be hosted on the first floor of the Dayton Metro Library main branch until April 30.
An award show will be hosted on April 22 in the Eichelberger Forum at the library from 1-3 p.m., according to the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

One of works featured in the show is a 6-foot canvas titled “Dancer in the Night” by Toledo artist Tara Murphy.
Murphy said she was inspired to create this piece by the events of COVID-19 pandemic to remind us all that we can dance in the middle of darkness, according to a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
“Art & Soul” has been held for more than 30 years.
Cash awards will be presented to the top 10 artists.
