Police took the four into custody at College Hill Park, off Harvard Boulevard and Shaftesbury Road, and recovered a handgun from one of them, Dayton Sgt. Thomas Schloss said.

According to the preliminary investigation, Schloss said, witnesses told police four males involved in a vehicle accident at Philadelphia and Cornell drives ran from that accident and someone in that group began firing shots as they all ran toward the park, several blocks west of the accident scene. The injured person was reportedly grazed by the gunfire.

Two of the males taken into custody are juveniles, two are adults, he said.

We're working to confirm whether the person grazed in the gunfire has been taken to a hospital.

The vehicle accident was reported just after 8:30 p.m. A second, unrelated vehicle crash occurred at the same intersection just after 9 p.m. No injuries were reported in either accident, according to police.

We will update this report as we learn more.
