Curbside loose leaf pickup returns today in Dayton

DAYTON — The City of Dayton will no longer be collecting bagged leaves starting Monday, October 24.

Residents can now rake or blow leaves to the curb for pickup, according to the city’s website.

Leaves will be collected at 8:00 a.m. each Monday of your scheduled pickup week.

The city asks residents to avoide raking anything except loose leaves to the curb. Branches, sticks, grass, and other yard waste may damage machinery and delay leaf pickup.

To avoid clogging the storm drainage system, try keeping leaf piles away from catch basin openings.

Leaf collection will continue through January 9, 2023.
