MONTGOMERY COUNTY — A reported water rescue is underway near the Taylorsville Dam in Montgomery County.

A Huber Heights Police and Fire Dispatcher confirmed that they are sending boats to assist Vandalia in a water rescue near the Taylorsville Dam.

The water rescue was initially reported in the 2000 block of East National Road around 1:20 p.m., according to Emergency Scanner Traffic.
Additional details were not immediately available.
According to the Miami Conservancy District, the Taylorsville Dam was still storing floodwater as of last week.
News Center 7 crews on scene saw several emergency vehicles near the dam and at least two kayakers who were rescued.
