Coroner’s office IDs Dayton fatal shooting victim

DAYTON — A man fatally shot on New Year’s morning was identified as 36-year-old Larry Love of Dayton, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

Initial reports indicate at least one person was shot just after 5 a.m. in the 2200 block of Hepburn Avenue.

In a 911 call obtained by this news organization, a resident told dispatchers there was a lot of commotion in front of her house.

“It’s about four or five cars out here shooting, fighting and everything,” the caller said.

No other details were immediately available.
