Fire breaks out in part of Germantown police, fire building under construction

GERMANTOWN — UPDATE @ 9:45 a.m.: 

A small fire broke out on the roof of the building that houses both the Germantown fire and police departments Thursday morning.

The part of the building where the fire broke out a new addition to the building that is under construction, according to crews on the scene.

No significant damage or injuries have been reported.

FIRST REPORT

Firefighters have responded to a fire reported at the Germantown Police Department on North Walnut Street.

Crews were dispatched around 8:50 a.m. Thursday and reported flames on the roof of the building, according to emergency scanner traffic.

There have been no initial reports of injuries.
