As News Center 7 previously reported, crews were first called around 7:30 p.m. on Monday for reports of a man who had gone into the water and had not returned.
Around 8:30 p.m., rapidly deteriorating conditions on the river due to storms and the lack of daylight forced crews to call off the search for the night.
Terrace said crews will keep returning to the river and searching it as long as it is safe to do so.
They are expected to pick the search back up on Wednesday morning.
We will continue to follow this story.
