Neighbor kicks in door of burning home near Lockington, saves dog

(UPDATE @ 5:25 p.m.): Crews are investigating the cause of the house fire on Frazier-Guy Road, east of Lockington in Shelby County, where a neighbor kicked in a door to let the family dog out.

The family was not home, fire officials said.

No injuries were reported, officials said.

Fire crews have responded to a house fire reported on Frazier-Guy Road in Shelby County Thursday afternoon.

The fire was reported about 3:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Frazier-Guy Road.

Initial reports indicate heavy smoke was pouring from the house when first crews arrived on the scene, according to emergency scanner traffic.

It was not immediately known if any injuries have been reported.
