DAYTON — (UPDATE @ 7:10 p.m.:) I-75 South near state Route 4 in Dayton is open again following the afternoon accident involving several semitrailers.

Police have shut down the southbound lanes of I-75 near state Route 4 in Dayton following a crash involving several vehicles.

Initial reports indicate several semitrailers were involved, including at least one that jackknifed. Emergency scanner traffic indicates up to three people were trapped inside a vehicle that was involved in the crash, which was first reported around 2:10 p.m.
