Country Concert expecting record crowd after tickets sell out for first time

FORT LORAMIE — Country Concert is back for its 41st year, but if you don’t already have a ticket you’re out of luck.

The concert sits quiet right now, but it is ready to erupt in less than 24 hours. Every single ticket for the next three days is already sold out.

“It’s going to be wild this weekend. I’m excited,” said Pam Hullinger, Miamisburg resident.

Last year, Country Concert had record crowds for Thursday and Friday, and Saturday nearly matched the record crowd from 2014.

“It’s a lot of people. Our very first country concert was 2014 when Luke Bryan was there and yes, it was wall to wall people you could barely move but everybody was just so much fun. It was a great time. It was just one big family party,” Hullinger said.

That’s exactly what brings so many people back each year.

“Just getting to hang out with all of our girlfriends and their kids and just having a great time partying. Don’t have to worry about anything, just have to find your way back to your campsite and it’s always a great time partying. Don’t have to worry about anything, just have to find your way back to your campsite and it’s always a great time,” said Cathy Haddix, who lives in Toledo.

The set up is almost nearly complete. Some people like Haddix got Fort Loramie Tuesday to make Country Concert almost a full week of fun.

“We are super excited. We plan on being down at the stage all day on Saturday because all of the acts are totally awesome. We’ve been geeked up for months,” Haddix said.

Some of the events get underway Wednesday night, but fans of the headliners the next three days of Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, and Morgan Wallen are expecting raucous crowds.
