Coronavirus: Yellow Springs native stranded in Africa amid travel cancellations

The Beard family began the process of trying to get Morgan home 3 weeks ago, but after multiple flight cancellations and may countries closing their borders due to the coronavirus, Morgan is still in Tunisia.

"The whole process has been very vague. When the flights started being cancelled, he went to the embassy personally and they wouldn't let him in so they spoke with him through a window and said their recommendation was to call the airline and they basically left it in his hands", said Christine Monroe-Beard, Morgan's step-mother.

The Beard family is working with Ohio University and Senator Sherrod Brown's office in effort to get Morgan home.
