Coronavirus: How much local colleges, universities lose in funding after cuts

MIAMI VALLEY — Gov. Mike DeWine announced significant cuts to the state budget Tuesday, with education across the state seeing a large percentage of those cuts.

DeWine called for $465 million in cuts to education. The cuts accounted for 60 percent of the $775 million in cuts announced and will include state-funded schools, colleges and universities.

The state released new data Wednesday morning that shows how much each college and university will lose with the cuts:

  • Clark State Community College: $576,735
  • Central State University: $136,696
  • Edison State Community College: $327,788
  • Miami University: $2,928,414
  • Ohio University: $6,652,391
  • Ohio State University: $14,921,919
  • Sinclair Community College: $1,955,878
  • University of Cincinnati: $8,170,209
  • Wright State University: $3,227,472
