Construction worker falls through roof of Springfield Wendy’s

SPRINGFIELD — Crews in Springfield responded to a Wendy’s on E. Main Street Tuesday afternoon after receiving reports that someone had fallen through the roof of the building.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office dispatch records show crews were called the the fast food chain in the 2400 block of E. Main Street around 3:30 p.m.

A 911 caller told dispatchers that a 19-year-old man was working on the roof of the Wendy’s when he fell through an access on the roof.

“There was an open walk way and he fell through the roof,” the 911 caller said.

Springfield Fire Chief Brian Miller told News Center 7 that the worker fell about 12 feet and suffered a head injury.

Miller said the man was flown to an area hospital. His condition is unknown.

Video from the scene showed that the building is currently under construction.
